The Founder
Twenty years at the bedside.
Gabriela has practiced as a nurse and nurse practitioner for more than twenty years, most of them spent in geriatric care.
She has helped families through every chapter of aging: the early questions, the difficult transitions, and the quietest, most tender moments.
She opened Norwood House to offer something she found missing in traditional settings: a place that feels like a home, run by someone who has actually sat at the bedside.
Principles
What we stand for.
Three things that shape every day at Norwood House.
Dignity, by default.
Every routine, every meal, every conversation begins with the resident's preferences, not ours.
Small, on purpose.
We are licensed for a small number of residents. That is how we keep care personal.
Clinically led, beautifully run.
A nurse practitioner sets the standard. The standard is everything.

The House
A residence that happens to provide care.
Open living spaces, restaurant-style dining, a fireplace lounge, and a garden patio.
Walk-in showers, grab bars, and a wander-guard system are integrated quietly. Present when needed, invisible otherwise.

Looking west.
A quiet street, ten minutes from downtown Bellevue, twenty from Seattle.
On clear days, the Olympic Mountains close out the horizon.
